- QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: Required so the launcher can display a list of your installed applications and allow you to organize and launch them.
- REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES: Enables you to uninstall applications directly from the launcher interface when requested.
- SET_ALARM, EXPAND_STATUS_BAR, & VIBRATE: Used locally to perform standard launcher actions (e.g., interacting with clock apps, opening the status bar, or providing haptic feedback).
- INTERNET: Used exclusively when you explicitly request to activate the Premium version using a license key.
3. Premium Version & License Key Activation
Pointless Launcher is offered as a free version with optional premium features available via an in-app purchase or license key.
The app operates entirely offline with zero external communication, except when you explicitly trigger an action to activate the Premium version using a license key.
During this manual activation process, a secure connection is made solely to verify the validity of your license key. No personal data or user tracking is associated with this request.
4. Data Security and Storage
Because we do not collect personal data, there is no user database stored on external servers. All custom configurations, layouts, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. The app supports standard Android backup rules (data_extraction_rules and backup_rules) to help you preserve your local settings when switching devices.
